Overview

The Greater Kromme Stewardship (GKS) initiative was established by a group of renewable energy developers along with the St Francis Kromme Trust, in partnership with Conservation Outcomes and the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency. The GKS initiative aims to engage and work with landowners, communities, government, conservation agencies, and other stakeholders in an effort to conserve threatened biodiversity and ecosystems on private land in the greater Kromme / Kouga area. The GKS initiative is based on the Biodiversity Stewardship approach that offers private landowners in the area the opportunity to play an important role in the conservation of our natural heritage.
